Welcome to the Rigging Master Course, where you can discover the concepts and techniques essential to rigging models for animation in modo 501. Your instructor, Rich Hurrey, takes you from the basics of the modo interface and tools, through to covering in-depth such challenging topics as ‘Inverse Kinematics’ and the ‘Schematic Viewport’. With the advanced skills gained in the foundation section, you can tackle a tutorial that ultimately results in a full production-ready asset.
In his latest release, Harald Belker will cover techniques that reflect the latest process used in entertainment design and concept creation. The crossover integration of several 3D programs, combined and finished in Adobe Photoshop®, provide the best results in the creation of stunning vehicles. Based on imagery from his latest book, PULSE: A Complete Guide to Futuristic Racing, he will first guide you through the process of building the racer in Modo®. He then demonstrates the set up and rendering phase in KeyShot®. The images are then combined and finished beautifully in Photoshop. To wrap things up, Belker will discuss the use of Google Sketch Up® for use building the futuristic racing environment.
The 3D GARAGE modo 501 Signature Course will introduce you to modo 501, from the new interface, to the new modeling tools, fur, inverse kinematics, contraints, Pixar subdivisions, updated animation pipeline, assemblies and groups, plus much more. This course is a beginner course, through intermediate lessons.
Learn how to model, UV map and to create custom weathered textures for Cambodian-style temple ruins, from the ground up, using modo and Photoshop. Over the course of 19 videos Darryll Reynolds of GameBox Studios, Australia, guides you, stage-by-stage, through the process of building and texturing a medium-detail model, 60k polygons, based on just a few reference images and without the use of background guide images or known dimensions. During this process you will discover how to model irregular-shaped stone structures, how to UV map all parts of the model and export the UV outlines to Photoshop. Using Photoshop, Darryll will then show you how to combine multiple layers of mostly photographic material to create realistic, stained stone textures. These textures will be applied to various parts of the the model, back in modo, in order to complete the piece. This tutorial is suitable for novice (advanced beginner) -to- intermediate level modo users.
